From Buenos Aires tango to Andean rituals, Argentina’s cultural identity changes its accent every few hundred kilometres.
Argentina does not have a single culture, but several that coexist. Buenos Aires lives through tango, contemporary art, and a café culture that extends into the early hours of the morning; the north preserves Andean rituals with centuries of continuity.
These cultural differences can also be seen at the table, in music, and in the way people welcome visitors. A Sunday asado in the Pampas is nothing like a challa in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, although both are deeply Argentine.
Understanding these different layers helps to design a better itinerary: it is not about adding more cities, but about choosing which cultural identities make sense for each traveller.
